Darija Bazdan is an independent designer and the creative force behind Darlingmind Studio, a multidisciplinary atelier based in Turin, Italy. With a focus on visual identity, surface design, and product development, the studio blends artistic intuition with thoughtful design research.
Following a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Darija began her professional journey in the field of interior design, gaining experience within the Italian design landscape. Today, she works as a freelance creative director for various interior brands, while also holding a professorship in Pattern Design at IED Torino.
Alongside her academic and consultancy work, she devotes herself to the creation of her own wallpaper and textile collections — poetic expressions of her deep fascination with the natural world, the visual language of pattern, and the tactile beauty of materials.
Art, nature, and the power of decoration have long been the core of Darija’s creative universe, guiding her in every project she touches.

I believe that pattern is not merely repetition—it is remembrance. A line is never just a line, it carries memory, rhythm, and intention.
Each shape is a syllable in a silent language, spoken by walls, whispered by fabrics, echoed in our most intimate spaces.
Patterns are maps of the invisible.
They chart the geography of our emotions, the terrain of our stories.
In a world that rushes, they ask us to linger, to pause, to follow a motif as if it were a thread back to ourselves.
I design not only with my hand but with my inner gaze. I seek what is hidden beneath the surface, the dreams that shimmer between layers. The gesture of the brush, the imperfection of ink, the freedom of the sketchbook—these are sacred to me. They are the heartbeat of each collection.
To me, pattern is a bridge between interior and exterior, between the past that shaped us and the future we imagine, between a wall and the soul that leans against it.
Darlingmind Studio is the extension of my own search for beauty that feels, that breathes, that belongs.
I believe in the poetry of walls, in surfaces that hold stories, in spaces that reflect who we are becoming.
